Chapter 19: Shaming Your Ancestors
To avoid suspicion, Lin Zhiguo had been staying in the duty room these past few days.
After abstaining for several days, he and Shen Wei had reached a point of uncontrollable passion, like dry wood meeting a raging fire.
The two were entangled, inseparable.
Lin Zhiguo tightly gripped Shen Wei’s waist. At the critical moment—
“You vile creature! Shaming your ancestors!”
A sharp, eerie male voice sounded menacingly at the door.
A cold wind rushed in, and the two froze in place.
Lin Zhiguo, who had been at the brink of climax, abruptly stopped, panicking and pushing the naked Shen Wei to the ground.
“Who’s there? Who’s outside?”
His face turned deathly pale, and his entire body trembled.
A certain part of him… went completely limp!
Frightened and furious, he caught sight of a tall, distorted figure standing outside the window, seemingly peering inside.
The voice called out again, hauntingly: “…Lin Zhiguo, you immoral wretch!”
The anger and frustration of having their intimate moment interrupted instantly crumbled.
If not for his strong mental fortitude, he would have screamed.
Both of them were half-undressed. If someone saw them now, wouldn’t it be over?
Shen Wei bit her hand hard, tears streaming down her face as she fearfully clutched Lin Zhiguo’s arm, trembling. “No… it can’t be… something unclean here…”
Lin Zhiguo tried to muster his courage, wanting to say that this was a new society, and such feudal superstitions were nonsense.
But his trembling hands betrayed him.
“Who are you? Stop pretending to be a ghost!”
Outside, Tongtong, using the shadow Grandpa Tree had created for her, spoke in a deep, eerie voice.
“What? You’ve slept with my woman, and you don’t even recognize me?”
Her voice was ambiguous, neither male nor female, as if crawling out from hell—terrifying and distorted.
This was all thanks to the retrieval system Mother had installed for her in her previous life, which had helped her find ventriloquism techniques.
Playing a ghost was a piece of cake!
Shen Wei was horrified.
Lin Zhiguo wasn’t faring much better.
He retreated step by step, hiding against the wall, trembling with fear.
The wind outside the window seemed to grow stronger.
Dry leaves rustled eerily, and the shadow twisted and contorted.
“Lin Zhiguo, you can fool others, but you can’t fool me… For the past three years, the two of you have slept together night after night. How could you do this to me?”
“Back when I was still lying sick in bed, you two shameless people were already fooling around in my living room. The supply Warehouse, the cornfields—there’s no place you two haven’t done it…”
“Lin Zhiguo, Shen Wei, you two have made me suffer so much!”
These were all things Lin Zhiguo had whispered to Shen Wei during their intimate moments.
Grandpa Tree knew everything.
Lin Zhiguo was so terrified that his face lost all color, and he collapsed to the floor.
These were extremely private matters. No one could possibly know.
Unless… it really was a ghost!
Shen Wei was trembling all over, her voice distorted with fear. “It really is your elder brother… He’s back… Sob…”
Lin Zhiguo forced himself to roar angrily, “Nonsense! There are no ghosts in this world!”
A fierce glint flashed in his eyes as he rushed over and forcefully pushed open the window.
He wanted to see who was playing tricks.
But then—
“Splash!”
A basin of something cold and sticky poured down over his head.
Lin Zhiguo was instantly drenched in a foul-smelling mess.
Outside, tree shadows swayed, and a chilling wind howled.
There was no sign of anyone!
Lin Zhiguo gasped for breath, cold sweat breaking out on his forehead.
A chill seemed to crawl up his neck from behind.
Lin Zhiguo was already drenched from head to toe.
Now, he was so terrified that his entire body turned cold, trembling violently. He finally couldn’t take it anymore and fell to his knees with a thud, kowtowing frantically into the empty air.
“Big brother! I was wrong! It was all Shen Wei who seduced me! I shouldn’t have been tempted by her beauty, and back then… what happened back then wasn’t intentional either! I was just momentarily possessed by greed, don’t kill me! I shouldn’t have dared…”
At this point, his expression suddenly froze.
As if remembering something utterly horrifying, he shut his mouth.
Not daring to say another word.
Hidden in the shadows, Tongtong narrowed her eyes slightly, deep in thought.
It seemed this old scoundrel was still hiding some wrongdoing.
She wanted to press him further, but this time Lin Zhiguo refused to speak no matter what.
His face was deathly pale, the fear and struggle in his eyes unmistakably genuine.
It seemed this matter was even more important to him than his own life.
Seeing that today had gone far enough, Tongtong slipped away silently under the cover of Grandpa Tree.
Lin Zhiguo waited for a long time but saw no further movement, finally letting out a long sigh of relief.
“Zhi Guo…” Shen Wei, trembling with fear, scrambled up from the ground.
Lin Zhiguo fastened his pants, his face ashen. “There are too many eyes and ears in the compound. I’ll sleep in the duty room for the next couple of days. You rest first.”
Shen Wei, filled with humiliation and resentment, opened her mouth to say something, but Lin Zhiguo had already vanished.
A cold wind blew in through the window.
Remembering all the things she had done, Shen Wei’s face turned ghostly pale. Terrified, she scrambled into the room, locking the door behind her.
She was too frightened to close her eyes all night, and the next day she went to work with swollen, puffy eyes.
Lin Ruihu and Lin Jiaojiao also had a restless night.
They had always been pampered and spoiled by Lin Zhiguo and Shen Wei, never having suffered any hardship.
Living in the dirty, smelly storage room felt like torture to them.
Lin Ruihu was also bitten all over by countless unknown insects.
When he woke up in the morning, he heard his mother and sister chattering endlessly, saying all sorts of bad things about Yu Wanqin and Tongtong.
Thinking about how his family’s current miserable situation was all because of that detestable mother and daughter pair.
He felt deeply unsettled.
Filled with pent-up anger, he didn’t even go to school. Instead, he waited for Tongtong on her way to the canteen.
Determined to vent the resentment in his heart.
Coincidentally, Si Muchen was also waiting for Tongtong.
From afar, he spotted a sneaky, chubby boy crouching by the wall, his butt sticking out, glaring maliciously toward the family compound.
Si Muchen narrowed his eyes slightly. “That seems to be the little girl’s cousin?”
[That’s right, host! Look at his shifty, sneaky appearance—he’s definitely up to no good!]
The System’s voice was gleeful.
[Should we use misfortune transfer and teach him a lesson? We still have three chances left today!]
Si Muchen thought for a moment and shook his head. “Not yet.”
He glanced around, making sure no one was nearby, then found a large garbage bag, emptied out the trash, and quietly approached.
Lin Ruihu was fully focused, waiting for any sign of Tongtong.
But unexpectedly, someone from behind threw a garbage bag over his head.
Then, a rain of fists came crashing down.
“Ah! H-help! Help!”
Lin Ruihu’s vision went dark. The punches were fierce and heavy, making him howl in pain.
The bag was also filled with an indescribable sour stench. Every time he opened his mouth, the disgusting stuff would seep in.
It nearly made him vomit.
When he finally managed to open the bag with a bruised and swollen face, the person who had beaten him had long since vanished without a trace.
Lin Ruihu was furious.
“You bastard! Don’t let me catch you!”
He seethed with anger, clenching his chubby fists, his eyes blazing with rage.
Turning around, he happened to see Tongtong skipping over in her light pink dress.
With all his pent-up rage having nowhere to vent, she became the perfect target for his fury!
“You little brat! Stop right there!”
