Chapter 217: Rescuing Shu Mingyue
A Wen parked the car.
After calling the police, Chu Tang pushed open the car door. "A Wen, come with me!"
At the entrance of the bar, the night was as dark as ink.
Neon lights flickered with a hazy, dreamlike glow.
Two men were supporting a woman who was already dead drunk, and behind them followed four more men—six men in total, all wearing lecherous expressions, their eyes fierce and urgent, like wild beasts lurking in the night, waiting for their chance to strike.
Chu Tang ran over quickly and shouted sternly, "What do you think you're doing? Let her go!"
The air around them was thick with the pungent smell of alcohol.
Shu Mingyue's face was flushed red, her eyes glazed and intoxicated, her expression carrying a hint of helplessness and confusion. "Hot... so hot... I feel so awful..."
Chu Tang narrowed her eyes at Shu Mingyue, who was being supported by the two sleazy men. Her demeanor was highly unnatural—very different from someone who was simply drunk.
"You drugged her?" Anger flared in Chu Tang's eyes as she demanded harshly.
The men's expressions looked twisted and sinister under the red neon lights.
One of them, a man with tattooed arms wearing a black tank top, gave Chu Tang a leering smile and said in a cocky, ruffian tone, "Oho, another pretty girl just showed up. What's the matter? Want to have some fun with us boys? I don't mind adding one more to the mix."
With that, the man let out a lewd laugh.
The other sleazy men around him joined in with sinister, obscene laughter.
A few passersby walked by—some cast curious glances, while others hurried past with quick steps, afraid of getting caught up in any trouble.
Chu Tang let out a cold laugh and shot back, "You're really a toad pretending to be a frog—ugly as sin but sure know how to play dirty."
"You dare insult me?" The tattooed man was furious, cursing a string of profanities at Chu Tang, spittle flying everywhere.
Chu Tang rolled her wrists to loosen up, her expression still contemptuous and mocking. "Just finished licking the toilet bowl in the bathroom? Your mouth stinks."
"You like to play, huh?" A cold glint flashed in Chu Tang's eyes as she let out a derisive snort. "Fine then. Your grandma here will play with you all today. Just don't come crying and begging for mercy later."
The tattooed man laughed dismissively. "That's a big mouth on you, you bitch!"
The air seemed to freeze.
The tattooed man waved his hand and shouted, "Boys, get her! Strip that arrogant bitch naked!"
Chu Tang showed no fear. She tilted her head toward A Wen and ordered coldly, "Don't hold back."
"Yes, boss."
The sleazy men all bared their teeth in vicious grins, their eyes gleaming with malicious intent. They clearly didn't take the two women before them seriously.
A man with dyed yellow hair curled his lips into a smug smile and swung a beer bottle at Chu Tang's head.
A Wen grabbed the yellow-haired man's wrist. A crisp "crack" sounded as she dislocated his arm. Accompanied by his scream of agony, the beer bottle fell and shattered into pieces on the ground.
Quick as lightning, A Wen grabbed the man's hand and pressed it down onto the broken glass shards on the ground.
"Ahh—" The yellow-haired man's scream pierced the night sky.
In an instant, his hand was covered in blood—a gruesome sight.
Just then, another man charged forward swinging his fists, only to be sent flying by a fierce kick from A Wen.
That man was on the thinner side, and A Wen's kick sent him airborne before he crashed hard into a nearby trash can.
"Ow—" The man cried out in pain. "That hurts like hell, damn it!"
"Kill her!" The tattooed man was clearly the ringleader. At his command, the remaining men swarmed forward, all lunging at A Wen, trying to overwhelm her with numbers.
All the men were focused on attacking A Wen, leaving Shu Mingyue unattended. Chu Tang quickly hurried over and supported Shu Mingyue. "Miss Shu, wake up. Miss Shu, I'm Ruan Chutang."
With the men too busy to pay them any attention, Chu Tang helped Shu Mingyue toward the car.
"Miss Shu, hang in there. I'm taking you to the hospital."
The men charged in with murderous intent.
However, A Wen's fighting skills were beyond anything they could imagine.
A Wen was dressed in form-fitting black clothing, her eyes sharp as an eagle's, her movements agile and powerful—like a leopard in the night. She weaved through them, taking down one after another, each strike fast, precise, and ruthless.
A Wen delivered a vicious elbow strike that sent a man with a crew cut staggering to the ground; then, with a beautiful spinning kick, she caught a burly man square in the face, leaving him with a swollen, bruised nose gushing blood.
Meanwhile, the tattooed man charged at A Wen with murderous intent, swinging wildly.
A Wen used his own momentum against him, deftly deflecting his attack before executing a flawless shoulder throw that slammed him hard onto the concrete ground.
The entire ordeal took no more than ten minutes. All the sleazy men were defeated.
They lay scattered on the ground, groaning and wailing in pain, unable to get back up.
A Wen swept a cold gaze over them, not a trace of pity in her eyes.
A Wen was fierce and said little. These men hadn't even touched a single strand of Chu Tang's hair before A Wen had taken them all down.
A Wen had faced six men alone and emerged completely unscathed—her combat prowess was absolutely terrifying.
Chu Tang had called the police before arriving.
By now, the officers had already shown up.
The two officers glanced at the men lying on the ground, their expressions complicated.
One of them looked at A Wen in disbelief. "Are you saying you took down all of them by yourself?"
A Wen let out a flat "Mm."
Chu Tang spoke up at the right moment. "Officers, they made the first move. This was self-defense on our part. Besides, they outnumbered us and tried to bully us—if it weren't for my friend's training, none of us would have gotten away today."
Chu Tang said seriously, "Officers, look at my friend's condition. She's not drunk at all—she was drugged by these people. I have reason to believe this group intended to assault my friend. I'm taking her to the hospital for an examination. One of you can come with us—once the test results come back, that'll be the strongest evidence."
The two officers exchanged a glance.
Then one of them said, "Ma'am, take your friend to the hospital first. My colleague will go with you, and the other lady will come with me to the station."
...
Chu Tang took Shu Mingyue to the hospital.
A Wen went to the station with the police to give her statement.
The test results came out the next day.
Shu Mingyue still hadn't woken up, lying in the hospital bed.
The doctor brought the report and stood by the bed, explaining Shu Mingyue's condition to Chu Tang and the officer.
The report was full of technical medical terminology, so the doctor, worried that Chu Tang and the officer wouldn't understand, explained in plain language: "The drug the patient was given numbs the nerves and stirs up the body's desires."
With that explanation, both Chu Tang and the officer understood.
Shu Mingyue had indeed been drugged.
