Book of Yesterday

Shen Shuyue never imagined that when she finally heard news of Pei Guangji again after many years, it would be of his death. Even less did she expect that alongside the news of his death came another revelation: originally, the very next day, he was supposed to come to her home to propose marriage. Was fate really playing such a cruel trick on her? Had she known that he had also secretly admired her for years—when they spent their youth together day after day—they should have become a wedded couple long ago, sparing them all of these present twists and turns. Transported back eight years in time, Shen Shuyue looks at a Pei Guangji who doesn't even know her yet, and decides to exert just a little bit of charm to win him over early. Seven flowers, seven chances to return to the past. Shen Shuyue used only a single flower to win Pei Guangji over. Yet she used up every single flower, and still couldn't save him. — "If I can no longer see the yesterday's you, I will never be able to walk forward into tomorrow with peace." — "I know that fate lies before me, but behind me is you." Reading Notes: • Primarily romance, supplemented by suspenseful court politics/strategy. Happy Ending (HE); sweetness outweighs angst. • Fictional background with many custom settings; please do not treat it as historically accurate.
