Chapter 1: Into a Book—An Improper One
“Young Madam, Sir is home.”
When Song Yunwei heard those words, her head began to buzz.
An hour ago, she had transmigrated into a book.
More precisely, she had entered a smutty little novel titled The Pampered Wife Begs for Pleasure Every Night, Her Brother-in-Law Is Too Virile.
She had not become the pampered wife. Instead, she had become the male lead Si Jinhan’s first wife—the Song Yunwei who shared her name.
She had spent three years studying in Germany. Her academic workload had been demanding and stressful, and her only pleasure was whiling away her spare time with a few steamy novels.
This book was one of them.
She remembered staying up to work on her thesis until her head was pounding, then falling asleep. When she woke up, she was lying in a huge, lavish bedroom that practically reeked of money.
In her dazed confusion, she found a phone. The facial recognition unlocked it without a hitch, and after checking the contents and photos on the phone, she confirmed that she had transmigrated into a book.
“Young Madam, Sir is home. Aren’t you going downstairs to greet him?” Nanny Wang’s voice sounded again.
Every day at this time, the original owner would personally prepare the meal, change into the most presentable clothes, and wait in the living room to welcome Si Jinhan home.
The original owner and Si Jinhan had entered into a family-arranged marriage, but there was a huge gap in power between their families. The only reason the Si family had reluctantly agreed was that the original owner’s parents had once saved Si Jinhan’s grandfather’s life and had used that favor to request the marriage.
“All right!” Song Yunwei replied as she desperately tried to recall the contents of the novel.
She hitched up the heavy skirt she was wearing and hurried downstairs, her mind filled with the basic information she remembered about Si Jinhan.
Si Jinhan was twenty-nine years old and 1.92 meters tall. He was peerlessly handsome, born with blue eyes, and carried himself with cool, aristocratic reserve. He was the sole heir to the Si family, the foremost of C Country’s four great families.
He had a secret that was difficult to speak of: a severe sex addiction.
In this palace-like house, there was a secret hideaway that belonged to him. Inside were all kinds of implements that could make anyone blush and set their imagination running wild. He went in almost every day and stayed there for an hour or two.
The novel had gone into great detail about what Si Jinhan did in that room.
Naturally, he was venting his terrifying desires.
When Song Yunwei read that passage, her eyes had nearly popped out of her head. She had practically gorged herself on the steamy scenes, but at the same time, she had felt sorry for the ineffectual wife who shared her name in the novel.
The Song Yunwei in the book was a refined young lady raised by the Song family. From childhood to adulthood, she had pursued dignity and elegance as her ideals. After marrying Si Jinhan, she continued to uphold those principles, vowing to become a good wife who was both virtuous and refined.
What she did not know was that what her husband wanted most was a woman who was willing to be “uninhibited” in private.
Throughout their three years of marriage, Si Jinhan, despite his overwhelming sexual urges, had managed to hold himself back and had never once touched Song Yunwei.
There had never been any feelings between them to begin with. In the end, they grew increasingly distant, and Si Jinhan’s attitude toward Song Yunwei became colder and colder.
Then Song Wanwan, the Song family’s long-lost younger daughter, was finally found. She had a succubus system bound to her, and every man she set her sights on would fall under her spell.
With Song Wanwan’s succubus system combined with Si Jinhan’s inherent sex addiction, the two of them were like dry tinder catching fire, and things quickly spiraled out of control.
The novel devoted page after page to their escapades—from the sofa to the kitchen, from the kitchen to the balcony, and from the balcony to the bathroom. It was practically a pressure cooker full of steamy scenes, with the aroma wafting everywhere.
Provoked by their affair, Song Yunwei retaliated in all kinds of ways and even tried to kill Song Wanwan. In the end, Si Jinhan discovered what she had done and sold her to a compound, where she suffered horrific abuse and died.
Just thinking about that ending gave Song Yunwei a splitting headache.
If only she had known, she would have read more proper novels.
Ugh! How infuriating!
Si Jinhan’s car drove onto the private road inside the villa grounds. He leaned back against the leather seat, his thick brows slightly lowered. His deep-set eyes were closed, his tall nose perfectly sculpted, and his thin lips somewhat pale, giving him an air of austere restraint.
His mother’s words echoed in his mind.
“Your grandfather has been dead for three months. You only married Song Yunwei because the Song family once did your grandfather a favor. It’s been three years, and she hasn’t given you a son or daughter. Besides, you don’t like her anyway. It’s time for a divorce.”
He had never touched Song Yunwei, so it was impossible for them to have children.
As for the divorce, he would consider it.
He was the unquestioned head of the Si family, lofty and untouchable, someone who kept all strangers at a distance.
Song Yunwei thought so too, which was why she was always extremely respectful toward him. She never took the initiative. Even holding hands made her blush and pretend to refuse.
Her clothing was always conservative and proper, her voice always soft and gentle, and her manner always meek and elegant.
Si Jinhan did not like that kind of personality.
The car slowly came to a stop. Si Jinhan opened his eyes, coldness radiating from his blue pupils. Tonight, he would have a talk with Song Yunwei.
When he pushed open the door, Song Yunwei was standing obediently in the living room as usual, waiting to welcome him home.
She had already made up her mind. She would follow the plot until the female lead, Song Wanwan, appeared. When that happened, she would not be like the original owner and rack her brains trying to win Si Jinhan back. She would leave decisively instead.
That way, she would not die in this world. If she could get a large sum of money, she could live a wonderfully comfortable life.
However, Si Jinhan was really too handsome!
Song Yunwei’s eyes lit up. She had scrolled past countless handsome men on her phone before, but not one of them could compare with the man standing before her. Even Jiang Yicheng, the man of her dreams before she transmigrated, was slightly inferior.
Overwhelmed by his beauty, she stood there like a wooden statue.
Si Jinhan raised both arms, waiting for Song Yunwei to come over and help him remove his coat as she always did.
But she did not move. She only stared straight at him with a strange look in her eyes.
“Young Madam!” Nanny Wang nudged Song Yunwei.
Only then did Song Yunwei come back to her senses. She raised a hand and touched the corner of her mouth.
Thank goodness she hadn’t drooled.
“What is it?” she asked, turning her head.
Nanny Wang stared at her in shock. Had Madam lost her memory today? Song Yunwei herself had insisted on greeting Si Jinhan each day and taking off his coat.
She believed it was a wife’s duty and a way to show intimacy.
Si Jinhan had no patience to wait. He lowered his arms, removed his coat himself, and handed it to Nanny Wang.
“I heard your younger sister has been found.” Si Jinhan took a long-legged step toward the sofa and sat down. His arm rested naturally on the armrest as he gazed at Song Yunwei with his deep blue eyes.
Song Yunwei had indeed seen a message from her mother on the phone just now, saying that her younger sister had been found, though she had not yet been brought home.
She nodded. “Yes.”
“Sit. There’s something I want to discuss with you.” Si Jinhan’s voice was slightly cool.
Song Yunwei did not think much of it. She plopped down beside him. Seeing Si Jinhan from such a close distance made him look even more handsome.
He was so handsome. Handing him over to someone else was indeed a little regrettable. But her life was more important. How could a supporting female character possibly go head-to-head with a female lead who had a system of her own?
Si Jinhan glanced sideways at the distance between them. Their shoulders were almost touching, and a faint, gentle jasmine fragrance drifted from Song Yunwei’s hair.
In the past, she would have chosen to sit on the other side, maintaining a proper distance, as if they were polite guests rather than husband and wife.
What was wrong with her today?
Just as Si Jinhan was about to mention the divorce, Song Yunwei’s expression suddenly changed. Then she went limp and toppled into his arms.
【Holy crap, what huge pecs!】
That was the thought in her mind before she lost consciousness.
