Chapter 3: He Looks Exactly Like My Male Idol While waiting for the delivery, Song Yunwei felt a little listless. In the real world, her parents had already passed away, but they had left her quite a bit of money—enough to let her live happily for the rest of her life. If she hadn’t wanted to prove herself to Jiang Yicheng, why would she have gone to Germany? Come to think of it, she still hadn’t finished her thesis. If she ever had the chance to return, would she have to keep working on it? And then there was Jiang Yicheng. She had recently come across his Moments posts and noticed that there was a new girl by his side. The two of them looked suspiciously close. Damn it. The more she thought about it, the angrier she became! Just then, the deliveryman called. “I’m at the main gate. Would it be convenient for you to come out and pick up your order?” Song Yunwei immediately set aside all her grievances and went outside with her phone. Si Jinhan’s house was absurdly large. There were even gardens and roads outside, and it took fifteen minutes to walk to the main gate. Fortunately, there was a small open electric shuttle used by the household staff, and the key was usually left in it. She drove the shuttle toward the main gate to pick up her food. Standing on the balcony of the second-floor bedroom, Si Jinhan saw Song Yunwei driving the shuttle along the road below, apparently on her way to do something. His phone rang. It was his mother, Bai Xianmeng. “Jinhan, have you talked to Song Yunwei about the divorce?” “Not yet,” Si Jinhan replied. “Hurry up, then. I have some good candidates in mind. You can meet them when the time comes.” Bai Xianmeng had worn herself out worrying about her son’s marriage. It had already been three years, and Si Jinhan had never touched Song Yunwei. She hadn’t even given the older members of the family a grandson. Bai Xianmeng didn’t want an incompetent daughter-in-law like that. Si Jinhan responded with an “Mm.” Remembering Song Yunwei’s inner thoughts, he suddenly felt a little reluctant to divorce her right away. There were secrets surrounding this woman. Still, he didn’t want to contradict his mother and waste his breath arguing. After hanging up, his gaze once again fell upon the road below. Before long, Song Yunwei came driving the shuttle back. There seemed to be a pile of things in the vehicle. There were bags of all different colors, and he couldn’t tell what was inside them. After all, Si Jinhan had never ordered takeout in his life. Once Song Yunwei returned to the house, she eagerly carried the food inside and began to feast. Her empty stomach seemed to have been possessed by Taotie[1], and she devoured every last morsel. After eating and drinking her fill, she carefully cleaned up, threw the takeout packaging into the trash, and then went upstairs to rest. The only troublesome part was that there were too many rooms. She got lost. It turned out that people really could get lost in their own homes. Song Yunwei searched several rooms, but none of them seemed right. The original owner’s memories were rather fragmented, so she simply found a room at random and lay down. When Si Jinhan returned to his room after taking a shower, he saw Song Yunwei lying on the bed. She was sleeping soundly. If he remembered correctly, he and Song Yunwei had begun sleeping in separate rooms during the second month of their marriage. In all this time, she had never once suggested sleeping together, nor had she ever entered his bedroom without permission. “Song Yunwei.” Si Jinhan walked over and called out coldly. Song Yunwei smacked her lips, rolled over, hugged the covers, and continued sleeping. Her greatest virtues were that she could eat her fill, sleep soundly, and had a carefree personality that kept her from overthinking. She never wore herself down with pointless worries. Suppressing his irritation, Si Jinhan reached out to pull Song Yunwei awake. But the instant his hand touched her shoulder, she suddenly shouted angrily, “I didn’t plagiarize! I really didn’t plagiarize! It’s called taking inspiration, understand?” Plagiarize what? Her thesis, of course. She was dreaming that her thesis had been rejected because of plagiarism. Si Jinhan looked at Song Yunwei’s tightly furrowed brows and indignant expression as she slept, and temporarily gave up on waking her. He was going to divorce her anyway. Letting her have her way a few times could count as compensation. In the end, Si Jinhan went to sleep in another bedroom. \-- The next morning, Nanny Wang watched Song Yunwei walk out of Si Jinhan’s bedroom. The cleaning cloth in her hand slipped to the floor with a slap. Could it be that last night… “Good morning, Nanny Wang.” Song Yunwei yawned and greeted her groggily. Nanny Wang wasn’t used to it and forced out a smile. “Good morning, Young Madam.” Nanny Wang had been sent by Bai Xianmeng to keep an eye on Song Yunwei. She didn’t like this Young Madam any more than Bai Xianmeng did. In her eyes, Song Yunwei was merely someone who had used a life-saving favor to climb into the Si family. For the past three years, Song Yunwei had spent every day at home arranging flowers, studying recipes, and practicing calligraphy and painting, looking every inch the refined daughter of a prestigious family. To Si Jinhan, she was a dull and boring wife. But toward the household’s nannies and servants, she was extremely strict and demanding. For her to take the initiative to greet someone, as she had today, was a rare occurrence. “Oh, right, Nanny Wang, I think the table in my room needs to be wiped down. Could you go wipe it now?” Song Yunwei said as she rubbed her eyes. Nanny Wang nodded and turned toward Song Yunwei’s bedroom. Song Yunwei hurried after her. This way, she could find her own room. She really was a genius. Once they returned to the room, Nanny Wang cleaned up while Song Yunwei went to the dressing room to choose an outfit. The original owner had a gloomy personality, and her clothes were monotonous in style and dull in color. Every outfit gave off the air of a female butler. After searching for quite a while, Song Yunwei finally found a purple V-neck dress suit. The short-sleeved top had a small V-neck that revealed her delicate collarbones without exposing her cleavage. The skirt reached her knees, showing off her straight, slender calves. Humming a little tune, Song Yunwei went downstairs. “She’s only my sister, my sister says purple is full of charm\~ She had just reached the bottom of the stairs when she froze. There were four men sitting in the living room. Si Jinhan occupied the seat directly facing the staircase, his deep eyes fixed intently on her. Two men sat to his left. They were around the same age and both strikingly handsome. They turned to look at Song Yunwei, their expressions faintly surprised. A man sat to his right as well. He had black hair and pale skin, and a pair of dark eyes that locked onto her heavily, making his emotions impossible to read. At that moment, he too had been drawn by Song Yunwei’s arrival. “Jiang Yicheng!” The instant Song Yunwei saw that face clearly, the name escaped her lips. The man sitting to Si Jinhan’s right looked exactly like Jiang Yicheng! Shen Jinnian realized that Song Yunwei was calling out to him. But his name wasn’t Jiang Yicheng. Si Jinhan had been married for three years, and none of his close friends were very familiar with Song Yunwei. They only knew that this woman was extremely dull and boring, and that the two of them might be getting divorced soon. Today, all four of them happened to be free, so they had arranged to drink and chat at Si Jinhan’s home. They had visited before and met Song Yunwei several times, but their interactions had been limited to exchanging greetings. They had never had any other contact. After calling out that name, Song Yunwei realized that the man had shown no reaction and felt somewhat disappointed. It was the exact same face. She had thought Jiang Yicheng had transmigrated here just like she had. If that were really the case, she would have had someone to keep her company while they researched how to return. “I’m sorry. I mistook you for someone else.” Song Yunwei immediately apologized once she came to her senses. Si Jinhan’s expression turned unpleasant. She had mistaken another man for someone else? She had been looking at Shen Jinnian while calling out “Jiang Yicheng.” So who exactly was Jiang Yicheng? Their marriage was what it was, and they were about to get divorced anyway, but it still felt awful to hear his wife call out another man’s name so excitedly in front of his friends. Shen Jinnian said indifferently, “It’s fine.” Song Yunwei looked over the four men, rapidly searching her memories for their identities. Then she realized that the author had been too busy writing about Si Jinhan and Song Wanwan having sex to describe the other characters in the novel in much detail—unless they too had sex scenes. She didn’t know any of these three men.
