Chapter 2: The Thoughts of a Dignified and Virtuous Wife
What huge pecs?!
Si Jinhan thought he was hallucinating. He had just heard Song Yunwei’s voice, but her lips hadn’t moved.
Besides, those words could never have come from Song Yunwei.
It must have been an auditory hallucination.
“Call Doctor Li over,” he ordered Nanny Wang.
Half an hour later, Song Yunwei was diagnosed with hypoglycemia. She only regained consciousness after being given sugar.
Nanny Wang was keeping watch beside her. Seeing her wake up, she said, “Young Madam, Sir is in that room in the basement. No one is allowed to disturb him before ten.”
That room in the basement…
No one else was allowed to enter that room. It could not even be cleaned as part of the daily housekeeping, so nobody knew what was inside.
But Song Yunwei knew!
Someone had even used AI to recreate the layout and structure of that room from the novel before. Just looking at it had made people’s hearts race.
“I understand.” Song Yunwei had not fully recovered yet, and her voice was somewhat weak.
After Nanny Wang left, she picked up her phone and began searching for information. She had no idea what this world from the book was like, but when she saw that Germany existed here too, she was overwhelmed by memories.
Before transmigrating, she had been an international student in Germany.
As everyone knew, German universities were easy to get into but difficult to graduate from. She had never intended to put herself through such misery, but her male idol, Jiang Yicheng, was a bona fide poor scholar. What he looked down on most were people who relied on their families’ wealth to waste their entire lives.
Coincidentally, Song Yunwei was exactly the kind of person he believed would rely on her family’s money and waste her life.
Jiang Yicheng had made a bet with her: if she could get into a German graduate program and successfully graduate, he would change his prejudice and date her.
Song Yunwei had acted on impulse and actually gone.
After spending three years in Germany, she had eaten more than enough sausages, potatoes, and bread, while Jiang Yicheng barely even replied to her messages.
She had never expected Germany to exist in this fictional world too. The author was surprisingly realistic.
As she continued searching, Song Yunwei’s stomach began to growl. She had not eaten a single hot meal since arriving more than half a day ago. No wonder she had suffered from hypoglycemia earlier.
She got up and tiptoed downstairs. The enormous, spacious spiral staircase curved around a brilliantly gleaming crystal chandelier, while the oil paintings and murals on the walls were clearly worth a fortune.
Since this was a web novel, the descriptions of the Si family’s wealth had not been very detailed. All she knew was that they were extremely rich.
Now, looking at the decorations around her, Song Yunwei felt that her family’s wealth in the real world was nothing compared to the Si family’s.
The house was simply too large. It took her half an hour to find the kitchen, only to discover after searching through it that there was no ready-made food!
The meals Si Jinhan usually ate were all prepared fresh with premium ingredients. Even the seafood was never frozen; he only ate it fresh.
The refrigerator was so empty it could make someone cry.
Dinner had been eaten while Song Yunwei was unconscious, and the leftovers had long since been disposed of. She could have searched through the trash cans, but she would not have found even the tiniest scrap of food.
She had no choice but to look around the living room for some fruit or snacks meant for guests.
She spent ages rummaging through various cabinets with her butt sticking up in the air, but found absolutely nothing.
Song Yunwei was utterly speechless. With so much money, couldn’t they at least keep some snacks at home? What was wrong with contributing a little to the snack industry’s GDP[1]?
Muttering curses under her breath, she stood up. The moment she turned around, a tall, dark shadow loomed over her.
“Ah!” Her scream tore through the empty living room.
Si Jinhan was bare-chested, wearing only a pair of black suit trousers below the waist. Crystalline beads of sweat glistened across his muscles, and even his hair was slightly damp.
He had just come out of the basement. Passing through the living room, he had seen Song Yunwei crouched beside the built-in cabinet, rummaging around noisily like a thief.
“What are you doing?” He grabbed Song Yunwei by the wrist, his gaze sharp.
Back then, the Song family had used the favor of saving his grandfather’s life to publicly propose a marriage alliance[2] between the two families. Si Jinhan had had no choice but to agree, but everyone in the Si family had suspected that the Song family’s motives were not so simple. It was very possible that they intended to use Song Yunwei to pry into commercial secrets or steal information for profit.
The way Song Yunwei had just been turning the place upside down was indeed highly suspicious.
Song Yunwei tilted her head back and widened her eyes. Her clear black-and-white almond-shaped eyes were filled with shock.
【He’s finished? With all that sweat, he must have done it several times. As expected of a man who can go seven rounds in one night[3]. Could he die from exhaustion?】
The next second, Song Yunwei’s voice rang in Si Jinhan’s ears again, the thoughts so indecent that he could hardly bear to hear them.
This time, Si Jinhan was the one left stunned.
Song Yunwei’s lips had not moved at all, yet he had heard her voice again.
Could it be another auditory hallucination? Because of his sex addiction, he had always relied on tools to vent. When it became severe, he needed medication to suppress it. Sometimes, he wondered whether the repression had driven him close to schizophrenia.
But… his most recent psychiatric examination had shown no problems.
“I’m hungry, so I came down to find something to eat.” An apologetic smile appeared on Song Yunwei’s face. “Did I scare you? I’m sorry. I’ll go rest in a moment.”
She twisted her wrist, and Si Jinhan released it.
It seemed that every time he experienced an auditory hallucination, it happened when he was in physical contact with Song Yunwei.
A thought surfaced in Si Jinhan’s mind: Could he hear Song Yunwei’s immediate thoughts through physical contact with her?
His eyes darkened as he gripped Song Yunwei’s arm again. It was slender, with just a hint of softness.
Song Yunwei’s eyes widened like bells.
【What is he doing? Doesn’t he know how strong he is? He’s squeezing so hard it hurts! The way he is in bed, only Song Wanwan could put up with him. No wonder those two can go at it until they don’t know whether they’re on heaven or earth!】
【He just finished having his fun in that room, so shouldn’t he be in the post-orgasm refractory period[4]? Wow, his nipples are pink!】
These were the inner thoughts of his dignified and virtuous wife?
Si Jinhan withdrew his hand. For the first time, he felt as though he had been watched sexually by a woman.
Song Yunwei was confused. “What’s wrong? Are you feeling unwell somewhere?”
Heh heh, he had overindulged, hadn’t he?
She secretly gloated to herself.
“Have you been inside that room in the basement?” Si Jinhan’s expression abruptly darkened. The pressure radiating from his entire body tightened, becoming terrifyingly oppressive.
That room was his secret. Entering it required triple verification: facial recognition, an iris scan, and a fingerprint.
In theory, Song Yunwei absolutely could not have gotten inside. But then how did she know what he had done in that room?
Song Yunwei innocently shook her head. “I really haven’t. If you say I’m not allowed to go somewhere, I absolutely won’t.”
Si Jinhan stared at her for several seconds. Her expression did not look like she was lying. As for her inner thoughts, how she knew the secrets of that room, and that Song Wanwan—those were all suspicious points.
Song Wanwan was the younger daughter the Song family had only just brought home. According to Song Yunwei’s inner thoughts, he would have sex with this woman, entangling with her until neither of them knew up from down.
Ridiculous.
Even if he had a sex addiction, he did not want just any woman.
The Song family’s elder daughter was already dull enough, and he was preparing to divorce her. How could he possibly get together with the Song family’s younger daughter afterward?
Si Jinhan snorted coldly without exposing what Song Yunwei had been thinking. He wanted to see what other bizarre things would appear in her mind.
Once she saw Si Jinhan leave, Song Yunwei let out a sigh of relief. Since she had already been found out anyway, she might as well order takeout.
She sat down on the sofa, opened a food-delivery app, and ordered a huge amount in one go, indulging in a gluttonous feast.
